Well the day arrived & I traveled to Joe's ready for a short sleep before we got the taxi. We were sat watching TV when a message came through that the trip was cancelled because the train was poorly!! So I got in my car & went home to wait for further instructions.
People were surprised to see us at work on Thursday - but not as surprised as us to be there! An email came through telling us they were trying to rearrange, which freaked me out as I was convinced it was going to be while I was away. Anyway to cut a long story short, an email cam through on Friday saying it was rearranged for the following Wednesday, times changed slightly, but it was fine for both of us.
So the build up started again on the Tuesday, Tuesday afternoon I went home from work early, made my food for the next day, packed my bag, showered & went to Joe's, had a relaxing evening watching TV & went to bed about 9.00, set the alarm for 4.00 am as the taxi was picking us up about 4.30 am.
Woke up at 3.40, so got up got ready - started taking the rescue remedy due to my total fear of flying!! Taxi was on time & we got to the airport around 5.15.
So the agenda for the day was going to be
- Visit to Oświęcim
- Tour of Auschwitz
- Tour of Birkenau
- Memorial service
